Okapi Terms of Service
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Okapi is a GitHub App that watches the APIs your code calls and opens a pull request when one of them changes. Sébastien Conejo and Bruno Pérez run Okapi ("we", "us"). Okapi is an independent project and belongs to no company.
1. Acceptance
By installing or using Okapi, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Okapi.
2. Your account
Okapi has no account of its own. Okapi works through your GitHub account.
3. How Okapi works
You install Okapi on the repositories you choose. Okapi reads their code to find the APIs they call and checks those APIs every day. When a change affects your code, Okapi pushes a branch and opens a pull request with a proposed fix. Okapi never pushes to your default branch and never merges a pull request. Okapi never runs your code.
4. Fixes written with AI
Okapi writes its fixes with an AI model, Claude by Anthropic, and a fix can be wrong or incomplete. Review every pull request before you merge it. You remain responsible for the code you merge.
5. Your code
By installing Okapi, you allow us to access and copy the code of the repositories you selected, only to provide Okapi. You must have the right to give us that access. You keep all rights to your code and to the fixes you merge.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Okapi to break any law, to probe or disrupt our systems, or to resell access without our written permission.
7. Early access and pricing
Okapi is in early access and free for early adopters. Its features and limits may change, and we may pause or stop the service. If Okapi becomes paid, we will announce it on this site at least 30 days before, and by email when we have your address. A paid plan never applies to work done before it starts.
8. Fair use
Okapi analyzes repositories within the resources we give each installation. We may limit or decline the analysis of a repository because of its size or the resources it needs. We may also decline repositories that are copies of projects you did not write.
9. No warranty
Okapi is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
10. Liability
To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from your use of Okapi, including lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the month the claim arose.
11. Deleting your data
We keep a copy of each repository while Okapi is installed on it, and we delete that copy when you uninstall Okapi or remove the repository. The pull requests Okapi opened stay in your repositories until you close or delete them.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Changes appear on this page with a new revision date. Your continued use of Okapi after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
French law governs these terms. French courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
14. Contact
