Okapi Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Overview
Okapi is a GitHub App that watches the APIs your code calls and opens a pull request when one of them changes. Sébastien Conejo and Bruno Pérez run Okapi and are jointly responsible for the data it handles. This policy explains what Okapi and this website collect, why, and for how long.
What we receive
When you install Okapi, GitHub tells us the account you installed it on, the GitHub user who installed it and the repositories you selected. Okapi then reads and copies the code of those repositories. The code and its history can contain the names and email addresses of its authors, and any personal data written in the code.
How we use your code
We use your code to find the APIs it calls and to check those APIs for changes. Okapi sends your code to Anthropic (Claude) to write each fix. We can read your code to review a fix before or after Okapi opens its pull request.
Retention and deletion
We keep a copy of each repository while Okapi is installed on it, and we delete that copy when you uninstall Okapi or remove the repository. The pull requests Okapi opened stay in your repositories until you close or delete them.
This website
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and to see which steps of the install people reach. Google receives your IP address, your browser's user agent and the pages you visit, and processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy. We do not send Google your name or email address.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@okapi.bot. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In France, that authority is the CNIL.
