POST /mobile/authorization-code → endpoint removal
Stopped working
On December 31, 2025, POST /mobile/authorization-code will stop working and calls to it will fail. This endpoint is being retired alongside the Reader SDK. Applications sending requests to this endpoint will no longer be able to generate authorization codes after this date.
Calls it hits

What to use instead of these calls
Move the app from the Reader SDK to the Mobile Payments SDK, which authorizes using an OAuth access token and a location ID instead of a mobile authorization code. Replacing the Reader SDK with the Mobile Payments SDK is a rewrite of the app's payment flow.

In Squareupsandbox's words
The Mobile Authorization API is used by the Reader SDK, which is now deprecated. This API will be retired along with the Reader SDK on December 31, 2025.
