On September 8, 2025, Printful will shut down the POST /tax/rates endpoint entirely. Calls made to POST /tax/rates after this date will fail. The sunset process began on July 29, 2025, gradually lowering the rate limit until the endpoint's final removal.

What to use instead of these calls
There is no direct replacement endpoint. To calculate totals with tax, use the order estimation endpoint POST /orders/estimate-costs, or switch to an external tax provider if standalone tax rates are required.
Printful offers no standalone tax rate endpoint anymore: tax rates must come from another provider.

On July 29, 2025 , we started the sunset process. The rate limit is being reduced by 10 RPM each week (starting with 60) until it reaches 0 on September 8, 2025 , at which point the endpoint will be removed entirely.
