# The legacy REST API stops working

Calls to /api/* on SourceHut API stopped working on November 20, 2025.

On November 20, 2025, the legacy REST API was removed almost entirely. Calls sent to /api/* endpoints on git.sr.ht fail after this date. This change halts traffic to the retired REST interface.

## What to use instead

Call the GraphQL API at git.sr.ht/query instead. Requests must use an OAuth 2.0 personal access token generated on meta.sr.ht.
