# The add_shadow parameter is deprecated

remove.bg API deprecated POST /v1.0/removebg, body parameter add_shadow without giving a shutdown date yet.

The body parameter add_shadow on POST /v1.0/removebg has been deprecated without a shutdown date. Calls that continue using this parameter will eventually fail once it is removed. The provider introduced new parameters, shadow_type and shadow_opacity, to handle shadows instead.

Send shadow_type (and shadow_opacity) instead of add_shadow in your requests.
