# roles on POST /v2/members/search stops working

Calls to POST /v2/members/search, body parameter data.roles on Productboard API stopped working on April 14, 2026.

Productboard API removed the legacy flat body parameter data.roles on POST /v2/members/search on April 14, 2026. Requests to POST /v2/members/search using data.roles fail since that date. The change removes deprecated legacy flat request body properties in favor of structured objects.

## What to use instead

Send the members filters in the structured data.filter, data.search, and data.return objects, such as data.filter.id, data.filter.fields.*, data.search.query, data.return.includeDisabled, and data.return.includeInvitationPending.
