# parent on POST /v2/entities/search stops working

Calls to POST /v2/entities/search, body parameter data.parent on Productboard API stopped working on April 30, 2026.

On April 30, 2026, the parent body parameter was removed from the POST /v2/entities/search endpoint. Calls sending the data.parent property fail since that day. This breaking removal retired legacy flat properties from the request body in favor of structured objects.

## What to use instead

Send entity filters using the structured data.filter and data.return objects instead. This includes using data.filter.type, data.filter.id, data.filter.fields.*, data.filter.relationships.*, and data.return.fields.
