# fields on POST /v2/entities/search stops working

Calls to POST /v2/entities/search, body parameter data.fields on Productboard API stopped working on April 30, 2026.

On April 30, 2026, the Productboard API removed legacy flat request body properties including the data.fields parameter from POST /v2/entities/search. Requests sending these deprecated properties fail since that date. The removal discontinued legacy flat fields from the request body in favor of structured objects.

## What to use instead

Send the entities filters in the structured data.filter and data.return objects instead, such as data.filter.type, data.filter.id, data.filter.fields.*, data.filter.relationships.*, and data.return.fields.
