# The segmentation.keepSalientObject parameter stops working

Calls to GET /v2/edit, query parameter segmentation.keepSalientObject on Photoroom Image Editing API stopped working on December 19, 2024.

On December 19, 2024, the query parameter segmentation.keepSalientObject was removed from GET /v2/edit requests. Calls sending this parameter now fail. The provider noted that the property has been removed.

## What to use instead

Send segmentation.mode=keepSalientObject or segmentation.mode=ignoreSalientObject instead.
