# osm_tag on GET /api is deprecated

Photon geocoding API deprecated GET /api, query parameter osm_tag without giving a shutdown date yet.

The query parameter osm_tag on GET /api has been deprecated without a shutdown date. Calls continuing to use osm_tag will eventually fail. The provider notes that developers should preferably use category filters instead of direct tag filtering.

## What to use instead

Filter with include=osm.<key>.<value> or exclude=osm.<key>.<value> category filters instead of osm_tag.
