# access_token in the query string is deprecated

Particle Cloud API deprecated /v1/*, query parameter access_token without giving a shutdown date yet.

Particle Cloud API has deprecated passing the query parameter access_token across /v1/* endpoints without a shutdown date. The provider notes this practice is discouraged for new applications. Requests relying on this method will eventually fail.

Send the access token in the Authorization header as a Bearer token.
