# DELETE /v1/entities/{}/{} is deprecated

Mem0 Platform API deprecated DELETE /v1/entities/{}/{} without giving a shutdown date yet.

The provider deprecated the DELETE /v1/entities/{}/{} endpoint without a shutdown date. Calls made to this endpoint will eventually fail. The change affects any requests relying on the v1 path.

## What to use instead

Call DELETE /v2/entities/{entity_type}/{entity_id}/ with the entity's string name instead of its numeric ID.

- API: Mem0 Platform API (api.mem0.ai)
- Kind: Endpoint removal
- Takes effect: no date given yet
- Calls after that day: fail
- Calls it hits: `DELETE /v1/entities/{}/{}`
- Source: [Announcement](https://docs.mem0.ai/openapi.json)
- Verified: October 26, 2026, against Mem0 Platform API's own pages

## Mem0 Platform API's words

> Deprecated in favor of `DELETE /v2/entities/{entity_type}/{entity_id}/`, which takes the entity's string name instead of this numeric ID.
