# POST /api/v4/teams/{}/import stops working

Calls to POST /api/v4/teams/{}/import on Mattermost API stopped working on October 1, 2026.

On October 1, 2026, the POST /api/v4/teams/{}/import endpoint was removed. Calls to this endpoint now fail. The built-in Slack import API and CLI are no longer available.

## What to use instead

Convert the Slack export with the mmetl tool and import it with mmctl import, which uses POST /api/v4/imports and the import job API.
