# /api/v1/pipelines is deprecated

LlamaCloud API deprecated /api/v1/pipelines* without giving a shutdown date yet.

## What to use instead

Move to Index v2: put the files in a directory (/api/v1/beta/directories), create an index over it (/api/v1/indexes), retrieve with POST /api/v1/retrieval/retrieve and chat with /api/v1/chat.

Index v2 parses and embeds every file again (parse credits) and drops configurable chunking and embedding, composite retrieval and several connectors.
