# POST /api/v1/runs/query stops working

## What to use instead

Call POST /api/v2/runs/query with project_ids and an explicit min_start_time (it defaults to the last 24 hours), and selects for the fields you need; root runs: POST /api/v2/traces/query; threads: POST /api/v2/threads/query.

> LangSmith marks every legacy endpoint replaced by the SmithDB SDK migration guide as deprecated: the v1 runs query and retrieve endpoints, the v1 run sharing and public-run read endpoints, POST /api/v1/datasets/{dataset_id}/runs , and the annotation queue run endpoints. All of them now respond with Deprecation: true , a Sunset date of January 31, 2027
