# The SafetyNet Attestation API stops working

Calls to /androidcheck/v1/* on Google APIs stopped working on January 1, 2025.

On January 1, 2025, the SafetyNet Attestation API was fully turned down. Calls to the endpoint /androidcheck/v1/* now fail. The interface was previously deprecated in 2022 before this complete shutdown.

## What to use instead

Request an integrity verdict with the Play Integrity API on the device. Decode the verdict on your server using POST playintegrity.googleapis.com/v1/{packageName}:decodeIntegrityToken.
