# sync on /youtube/v3/captions stops working

Calls to /youtube/v3/captions, query parameter sync on Google APIs stopped working on April 12, 2024.

On April 12, 2024, support ended for the query parameter sync on the /youtube/v3/captions endpoint. Requests using this parameter fail. The removal affects calls to the captions.insert and captions.update methods.
