# channelId on GET /youtube/v3/commentThreads stops working

Calls to GET /youtube/v3/commentThreads, query parameter channelId on Google APIs stopped working on April 30, 2024.

On April 30, 2024, the channelId query parameter on GET /youtube/v3/commentThreads stopped working. Requests to GET /youtube/v3/commentThreads using this parameter now fail because the API no longer supports inserting or retrieving channel discussions.

## What to use instead

To read comments on the channel's videos, use allThreadsRelatedToChannelId instead. Channel discussions themselves have been removed and have no replacement.

YouTube removed channel discussions; nothing replaces reading them.
