# GET /location/* stops working

Ensembl deprecated GET /location/* without giving a shutdown date yet.

Ensembl has removed support for GET /location/* endpoints without a shutdown date. Calls made to these endpoints fail, as the provider has discontinued them. Any integration relying on GET /location/* routes is affected.

## What to use instead

The /location endpoints have been replaced by /overlap. Update your calls to use the /overlap endpoints instead.
