# adults on POST /stays/search is deprecated

Duffel API deprecated POST /stays/search, body parameter adults without giving a shutdown date yet.

The body parameter adults on POST /stays/search has been deprecated without a shutdown date. Calls that continue to rely on this parameter will eventually fail once it is removed. The provider announced this change on June 18, 2024, noting that customers must move to the new guests field.

## What to use instead

Send a guests array instead of adults, including one entry per guest with type adult or child and the child's age. This update requires modifying your request payload structure beyond changing an identifier.
