# The enable_click_to_unmute player setting stops working

Calls to body parameter enable_click_to_unmute on Dailymotion API stopped working on September 28, 2026.

On September 28, 2026, the body parameter enable_click_to_unmute will stop working. Calls using this setting will fail and return 400 Bad Request after that day, as it will no longer affect Player behavior.

## What to use instead

Remove enable_click_to_unmute from your requests. To start the Player without sound, set playback.enable_mute using API v2 via PATCH /v2/players/{player_id}.
