# Bing Maps for Enterprise stops working

Calls to these calls on Bing Maps API stop working on June 30, 2028.

- API: Bing Maps API (dev.virtualearth.net)
- Kind: Endpoint removal
- Takes effect: June 30, 2028
- Calls after that day: fail
- Source: [Announcement](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/bingmaps/rest-services/)

## What to use instead

Move geocoding, routing and map calls to Azure Maps (atlas.microsoft.com), following Microsoft's Bing Maps to Azure Maps migration guides.

Azure Maps needs an Azure subscription and a new key, and its APIs differ from Bing Maps'.
