# The Payout API is deprecated

Adyen API deprecated /pal/servlet/Payout/* without giving a shutdown date yet.

Adyen has deprecated the Payout API without announcing a shutdown date, stating that it no longer supports new integrations. Calls matching the endpoint /pal/servlet/Payout/* face removal and will eventually fail once the service is retired.

## What to use instead

Move payouts to the Transfers API using POST /transfers on the balance platform. This move requires more than changing an endpoint, as the Transfers API runs on Adyen's balance platform and must be arranged with your Adyen contact.
